Omni Celebrates 20 Years of Brilliance

Yatai International Corporation marks two decades of providing superior quality electrical and lighting products to Filipinos.

(OMNI electrical and lighting) recently celebrated two decades of excellent service and innovation in providing electrical and lighting products of superior quality to the Filipino people.

OMNI founder and CEO Yang Hua Hong and COO Lulu Chua were joined by business partners, employees and friends who gathered together at the Grand Ballroom, Solaire Hotel, in Pasay City last Sunday, October 16th.

The anniversary celebration was hosted by OMNI brand endorser, Ryan Agoncillo and Multilingual host Shirley Barrido Chu, while guests were entertained by songs of Richard Poon and a special presentation of renowned shadow playgroup El Gamma Penumbra. Special guests from Cultural Center of the Philippines and University of the Philippines were on hand to express their appreciation for OMNI’s support in helping these CSR partners throughout the years.

In looking back to a 20-year journey in achieving such a milestone, founder Yang Hua Hong expressed his appreciation to everyone who helped OMNI throughout the years. “My heart is filled with gratitude and I am a little bit emotional,” the former Wushu athlete and coach who served in the Philippine Wushu Association for 25 years, said in his speech during the anniversary celebration.

When Mr. Yang established Yatai International Corporation in 1996, the company was affected by the global financial crisis and OMNI was challenged by the more popular and traditional foreign brands. By remaining true to its objective of providing good quality products at reasonable prices, however, OMNI was able to capture its market and became a known and trusted brand in the electrical and lighting industry in the country.

He also acknowledged the benefactors who had helped him during the crucial moments of the company. From them, he learned the principle of helping others. He quoted an old Chinese saying that goes “The fragrance always remains in the hand that gives the rose,”

What keeps Mr. Yang going even in the face of difficulties is his being perfectionist and keen to details by nature. He considers struggles and challenges as stepping stones for further improvement.

At the 2016 celebration, OMNI reflected on how the company had grown since 1996 by focusing on electrical and lighting products for Filipino households and businesses. The anniversary program presented that progress as a result of product development, customer trust, and long-term relationships with employees and business partners.
