The inaugural NGVL season reaches its finale
The inaugural season of the National Grassroots Volleyball League, with OMNI as a major sponsor, came to a celebratory close on May 7, 2026, at the Playtime FilOil Centre in San Juan City, Metro Manila. OMNI Marketing Manager Henry Bigay joined attendees and fans as finalist teams from across the Philippines competed to become the first NGVL national champion.
Regional finalists compete for the championship
The bracket-style championship brought together teams including Immaculate Conception Academy and the University of Santo Tomas. After the final sets, the University of Santo Tomas was declared the inaugural national champion.
The awards program recognized individual players and the league's top three teams. NGVL president Yvette Katigbak-Ambrocio thanked OMNI for supporting the first season and for sharing the league's commitment to grassroots sports and Filipino youth.
OMNI's participation in the National Finals continued the partnership announced for the NGVL's first season and documented the company's support for a national youth-volleyball program.
